Health and Rehabilitation Science

The MU College of Health Sciences offers a PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Science. This is an interdisciplinary, research-focused doctoral program designed to prepare students for careers in research, higher education, and organizational leadership in the health disciplines (including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, health psychology, health science, public health, and health administration). Students may be working professionals, practitioners with a clinical degree who intend to pursue research-focused career opportunities, or they may be students who enter immediately after earning a bachelor’s degree. The program uses a mentorship-model in which students are accepted to work with specific faculty and to learn through hands-on research experience. Coursework is tailored to students’ research interests and crosses disciplines.

• Fall Deadline: February 1
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
• Minimum GPA: 3.0 preferred
• Minimum GRE score: Verbal + Quantitative = 306, preferred

Minimum Language Requirements

Minimum English language proficiency test scores are required.
